Profusion Crabapple is a classic ornamental tree prized for its spectacular spring flowering display and outstanding ornamental fruit. In early spring, the tree erupts in a breathtaking cloud of deep wine-pink to magenta blossoms that contrast beautifully with the emerging bronzy-red foliage. As the season progresses, the leaves mature to a rich purple-green, maintaining excellent color through summer. By fall, small, dark wine-red fruits approximately 3/4 inch in diameter develop and persist into winter, attracting birds and adding long-season ornamental interest. Profusion Crabapple grows 15 to 20 feet tall with a rounded to broadly spreading crown, and thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Its disease resistance, multi-season appeal, and deep floral color make it a standout ornamental tree.
