Heritage Red Raspberry is the gold standard of fall-bearing raspberries, renowned for its exceptionally large, firm, bright red berries with outstanding sweet-tart flavor and a long, productive harvest season. Unlike most summer-bearing raspberries, Heritage produces two crops — a smaller early summer crop on second-year canes and a large, primary fall crop on new canes from midsummer through frost. The fall crop is particularly abundant and the berries ripen over an extended period, providing fresh raspberries at a time when other fruits are finishing. Heritage grows 5 to 6 feet tall and is highly adaptable to various soil types, thriving in full sun with well-drained, fertile, slightly acidic soil. Its exceptional berry quality, outstanding productivity, and disease resistance make it the benchmark against which other red raspberries are measured.
