Genie Magnolia

Magnolia 'Genie' is a compact, deciduous hybrid magnolia known for its deep, rich burgundy-purple flowers and long blooming period. The blossoms are tulip-shaped, lightly fragrant, and appear in early spring before the leaves, with occasional repeat flowering in summer. It has a narrow, upright growth habit, typically reaching 10 to 13 feet tall and 4 to 6 feet wide, making it ideal for smaller gardens, urban landscapes, or as a striking focal point. The foliage is glossy and dark green, providing a clean contrast to the dramatic blooms. 'Genie' performs best in full sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
