Fat Albert Colorado Spruce is a superior, compact selection of the classic Colorado Blue Spruce prized for its dense, uniform pyramidal form and outstanding silvery-blue foliage color. Growing to about 10 to 15 feet tall with a broad, formal pyramid that is significantly wider and denser than typical Colorado Spruce seedlings, Fat Albert earns its name with its robust, full-bodied silhouette. The needles are a rich silver-blue and maintain their vivid color year-round, making this an exceptionally ornamental evergreen specimen for the four-season landscape. Fat Albert thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, showing excellent drought tolerance once established. Its predictable, symmetrical form and outstanding blue color make it one of the finest Colorado Spruce cultivars for specimen planting, formal landscapes, and as a dramatic focal point.
