Emerald Blue Phlox is one of the finest creeping phlox cultivars available, prized for its outstanding mass of lavender-blue to soft purple-blue flowers that completely cover the plant in a stunning spring carpet display. Growing 4 to 6 inches tall and spreading 18 to 24 inches wide, Emerald Blue forms a thick, dense mat of fine, needle-like bright green foliage that earns it the 'Emerald' designation for its particularly vivid green color. In spring, this mat is smothered in flowers for two to four weeks, creating one of the most spectacular flowering ground cover displays available. After blooming, the attractive emerald-green foliage remains throughout the year, providing year-round texture. Emerald Blue thrives in full sun and excellent drainage and is highly drought-tolerant once established.
