Cunningham White Rhododendron is a classic, dependable broadleaf evergreen rhododendron celebrated for its profuse display of pure white flower trusses with a distinctive light green to yellowish-brown blotch in the throat that adds depth and character to the blooms. Flowering in mid-spring, this vigorous and adaptable rhododendron grows 6 to 8 feet tall with a dense, rounded habit and attractive glossy dark green foliage year-round. One of the most cold-hardy of all large rhododendrons (to zone 4), Cunningham White is valued for its ability to thrive in difficult northern climates where other white-flowered rhododendrons may struggle. It performs best in well-drained, acidic soil and partial shade. Its reliable flowering, cold hardiness, and classic white beauty make it one of the most dependable rhododendrons for northern gardens.
