Color Guard Yucca is a bold and striking evergreen perennial prized for its dramatic architectural foliage — stiff, upright sword-shaped leaves with creamy yellow centers edged in deep green, with the center coloration becoming rose-tinted in cooler weather for spectacular year-round interest. This low-maintenance plant forms a rosette 2 to 3 feet tall and wide and sends up tall, dramatic flowering spikes reaching 4 to 5 feet in summer, adorned with creamy white, bell-shaped flowers that attract hummingbirds and bees. Color Guard Yucca thrives in full sun and extremely well-drained soil, tolerating drought, heat, and poor soil conditions with ease once established. It is an excellent choice for hot, dry sites, rock gardens, coastal landscapes, and as a bold accent in mixed borders or containers.
