Candy Stripe Phlox is a delightful creeping phlox featuring charming bicolor flowers with white petals striped in pink, creating a sweet, candy-striped pattern that blankets the plant in early to mid-spring. Growing just 3 to 6 inches tall and spreading 12 to 18 inches wide, this low-growing evergreen perennial forms a dense, weed-suppressing mat of needle-like foliage that becomes completely hidden under the flower display in spring. After blooming, the attractive foliage remains evergreen throughout the year, providing year-round texture and ground cover. Candy Stripe thrives in full sun and excellent drainage — rocky banks, walls, and well-drained slopes are ideal — and is very drought-tolerant once established. Its charming bicolor blooms, dense mat-forming habit, and year-round evergreen cover make it an outstanding ground cover choice.
