Bosnian Pine

Bosnian Pine is a slow-growing, long-lived evergreen conifer native to the mountainous regions of the Balkans, prized for its dense, dark green foliage, attractive bark, and exceptional tolerance of harsh conditions. Growing in a broadly pyramidal to oval form and reaching 30 to 60 feet over many decades, this pine has notably long, rich green needles and attractive dark bark that exfoliates to reveal interesting patterns as the tree matures. Bosnian Pine is exceptionally tolerant of poor, rocky soils, drought, wind, and cold temperatures, making it a tough and long-lasting landscape specimen where other pines might struggle.
